The fact that Manny Pacquiao was not allowed to take an anti-inflammatory injection before his bout with Floyd Mayweather isn’t the story here. Taking the anti-inflammatory wouldn’t have helped Pacquiao that much because it wouldn’t have given him greater arm strength. So, why the dust up after the event?
David Lariviere, a writer with Forbes magazine, interviewed me for a blog he was writing for Forbes Sportsmoney about Pacquiao. David thinks the issue should be Pacquiao’s non-disclosure of the injury and he speculates that Pacquiao is probably having trouble admitting that Mayweather was the better boxer.
